I wanted to capture the look and feel of a classical painting, specifically along the lines of Rembrandt's work. I couldn't manage the richness of an oil painting digitally, but I hope that some sense of richness is conveyed. This charming opossum belongs to Loiosh. The couch is mostly of my own design, a few bits inspired from the Handbook of Ornamental Motifs.

holy crap Vannie that turned out spectacular! :D :D :D :D I love the couch, you did a good job!
Vizon
Yes! This came out amazing, Vantid! Ha ha ha! It's so great and it makes me laugh. Beautiful fur - yet scraggly and creepy as opossums are. Nice composition, and I think you really pulled off the 'classic' look. ("inDEED" Teal'c would agree!)

I agree with Thornwolf and Vizon, it came out excellent! You ought to dell prints of this if Loiosh is OK with you doing so

Beautifully done. The details are all amazing. I particularly like how the cushions on the sides of the couch are arranged like paw pads.

Wow!! That's fantastic. Jeez, the level of detail on everything. That must've taken you awhile to do?

Gorgeous stuff!

This is one of my favorite anthro realism paintings. I love when artists take a unique animal not normally considered attractive and make it really appealing. The fur has exactly the correct texture.

Gorgeous details! The textures and colors are fantastic and the concept....awesome.

You are truly, most likely, the best artist on here. This is what I call, one Awessum Possum. ^^

*headtilt* Did you really see it on the VCL? I don't upload there. Maybe if Loiosh uploaded it...

The detail on the fur coat is wonderful. Not to mention doing this in painter X is always impressive to me.
My favorite part of the picture is the hands. It simply glows. But... something else catches my eye. Is it me or did you make paw prints out of the cushions on the chair?
