A commission for LeftWingDuck of her calico kitty, Tune. This was inspired by some photos of traditional Japanese dancing, specifically the Wisteria Maiden. the hand didn't turn out as kitty pawed as I would have liked, but that's because I have a hard time drawing and the paper was fed up with me erasing.

Vantid, I'm in love with your work here.
Excellent graphite laydown; the texture is either thick and woolly or downright liquid-delicate as necessary.
That incongruity between the cat-face and the female form (down to the hands that bugged you) gives the whole work a Grandville-esque feel. It's cool.
But the extra helping you dug out is that plant - its the essential Japanese-style watercolor landscape foliage, which you pulled out of dry pencil-lead.
In short, Vantid; Awesome work! Great Job!

Thank you for your wonderful comment! Graphite is a favorite medium of mine as it's so versatile. I do prefer the more animal featured anthros, but I suppose the more human proportions work for this piece. I had to look up Grandville and how neat! What wonderful work! Thank you for that as well. :3
